The band, Nammidagur, is the new brainchild of international singer and DJ, Seth Sharp, and percussionist Stefán Laxdal. The two combined their radically different musical approaches into a sound that combines heavy metal and soul. Nammidagur's pianist, Egill Orri Ómarsson, describes the band as such: "If soul music and heavy metal met in a dark alley in New York city and had a baby in that dark alley, that baby would be the band Nammidagur."

The band plays original songs, by Seth Sharp (and various musical collaborators), which have been re-interpreted into this new genre of hardcore soul. They also throw in a blues song here and there and a cover song to give the folks a moment to reminisce. The members of Nammidagur are: Seth Sharp, lead vocalist and song writer; Stefán Laxdal, precussion; Sindri Bergsson, guitar; Egill Orri Ómarsson, keyboards.  Nammidagur by the way means "Candy Day" in Icelandic.  Nammidagur just completed it's first "live" studio album, which will be released independently in the coming weeks.
